You really should have been there!

Once again the podenco-club could welcome 47 dogs, (27 Ibizans, 14 Pharao, 3 Cierneco della Etna and 2 Podengo Portugues) to the most important show of the year. And, “as usual”, the sun was shining, not too hot, a brilliant cafe, the most spetecular lottery and, The Great Auction.

Around the ring the Club had put up tents and both dogs and people was able to relax in shadow, have refreshments and pretend there was a biig party going on.

The judge of the year, Mr. Miklos Levente from Hungary, has been judging the breeds for many years, but, he admittend, not so many at the same time and never in such an atmosphere. As ring steward, Mr. Dieter Grams was “imported” from Switzerland, and they both had to work hard to follow up to Norwegian system. First out was 4 so sweet baby-pharaos, the only puppies this day, and they were so clever in the ring.
BOB and BIS puppy : Løveklippens Buto Bahir, owned by Mrs.Sonja Tørres. Among the grown-up pharaos Levente found his BOB in Multich.Faouziah`s Cesario, own. Lisa Barkeskog from Sweden. He also got his Norw. Championtitle. Congratulation!

2. Best male: Ch.Antefa`s Qu-lan, owned by Mrs.Sonja Tørres.
3 Best male: Ch. Faouziah`s Cirith Ungol, owned by Mrs.Mette Scheithauer. Non of the bitches (5) was given CK!!

1 male and 2 females Ciernecos, in the best condition and well sized.
The BOB: Are But Not`s Choise (Luna) and again a new champion! Owner: Evy Fredhjem.
2. Best bitch: Ayla Betrest del Falco Rosso, owner: Ruth Norderhaug.

1 male and 1 female P.Portugues: BOB: Miuda, BOS: Ch.Rissol do Vale Negro. Own. Ingrid Ims

So to the Ibizians, wired: The puppies from the show last year was now entering in Junior/Youngster-class, and we all persuaded to se how they had matured and grown into themselves. They all were given Price of honour, and the CAC was given to the youngster Rosenhill`s Gallica Hippolyte (Truls). So exciting when Truls had to go the Best-male competition with the Champion.class, (also his father, Suttensälka Lucky Luke), and: BOB wire Rosenhill`s Gallica Hippolyte owned by Miss. Victoria Bøhn Lund.
2.Best male: Ch.Suttensälka Lucky Luke, owned by Mr.Morten Forseth and Eli.M.Klepp. Once again, none of the bitches (4) was given CK!!

Ibizanz smooth: Again one of the puppies from last year has grown up and into Youngster class. Rosenhill`s Eglanteria Bradwardin was the winner of this class and, like Truls, had to go to the competition with the Champion-class. He really put his paws down and eleganty went up to place number 1 – leaving the champions behind him.

3.Best male: Ch. Bee Djei`s Boulevard (Brad`s father), owner Mrs. T.Vaule/Mr.B.Hansen

Ibizan bitches smooth: The bitches in this classes was more in the eye of the judge and 12 of them was fighting for the Best bitch-title. Like the male, pups from last year has grown up (times go so fast!) and was no entering in the “biig” classes. And both the handlers and the bitches had to work so hard before the first game was over, and, CAC and Champion title was given to Rosenhill`s Dwarf Scheelagh, Ck for her sister, Mignonette. Those two now had to go further on in the competition and made it very exciting. Look at this winning list:

5.Best bitch:Ch.Bee Djei`s Amela (Veteran), owner Mrs.Iris Dagsland.

We all had to take a deep breath after all those surprises and while the lottery results and the auction went on, we could enjoy lots of cakes etc. from the Club cafe while something of the most important, The Junior-handling also was going on. The judge for the 13 kids was miss Victoria Moen, 2 times Norw. and 1.time World-w.Junior-handler. She really presuaded the kids work with the dogs, and ended up with:
No.1. from 12 years-up :Natalie Forseth, 14 years
No.2. from 6- 12 : Silje Horne, 11 years.

Then , the BEST IN SHOW-competition!
1 pharao, Cesario from Sweeden, 1 ibizan wire, Hippolyte (Truls) 1 ibizan smooth, Bradwardin, 1 p.portugues, Mi?da (the cierneco had to leave before), all 4 very, very nice dogs of the best quality! Valente really took his time, looking, moving, looking again and placed:
No. 4 Podengo Portuguese Miuda
No. 3 Podenco Ibicenco Hippolyte
No. 2 Pharao Cesario

Lots and lots of gratulations to Brad, his owner Lin but also to all this beautiful,beautiful pharaos,ibizans,ciernecos and portugueses we had with us this sunny, nice day.

In the evening the barbecue-fiesta took place, and everyone who was able to take a part of this was eating, drinking and enjoying themselves for hours. No need to say the day was very successful! Enjoy us next year???????????????????
